We will start our taste adventure with the well-known Lido. In Riga, you can stop by and enjoy home cooking in 13 Lido restaurants. However, the best known to everyone is the Lido Atpūtas center, Krasta iela 76, Riga.

The cafe’s menu offers the well-known classic food – chops in various forms with side dishes and salads, pizza, one of the children’s favorite meals, or the current favorite sushi. A children’s playground is available in the garden area.
Who said that a great gastronomic experience cannot be combined with shopping at the market? Āgenskalna market, Nometņu iela 64, Riga, combines market shopping experience with leisure food enjoyment, on the 2nd floor of the market. Choose your gastronomic adventure in one of the restaurants, because here you can choose something for every taste – authentic Italian pizzas, kebabs, soups, pasta, steak, Asian cuisine and even pancakes.

Restaurant Babo, Dzirnavu iela 42. Would like to go on a taste adventure and enjoy Georgian cuisine. Babo will surprise you with perfectly prepared pork, lamb, chicken, beef and fish dishes. An integral part is freshly baked bread. Received Michelin 2025 recognition.
Chef’s Corner, Jeruzalemes iela 5, is located in the heart of the quiet center of Riga and is included in the list of 30 best restaurants and won the nominations “Best new restaurant” and “Best drinks”. The restaurant’s menu is designed to suit any taste: starting with all kinds of steaks, the possibility to choose from 11 types, seafood, tartar and ending with vegetarian alternatives – smoked eggplant carpaccio with arugula, walnuts and Roquefort cream. Chef Reinis Strazdiņš, well known in his circles, takes care of the guests’ taste buds.

And of course, how could we not highlight the winner of Latvia’s first Michelin star, Max Cekot Kitchen, Jelgavas iela 42. The restaurant opened its doors in 2018 and its manager and chef is Maksims Cekots. The restaurant’s 15-course tasting menu and vegetarian menu highlight the diversity of local ingredients. The ingredients of each dish are selected to reflect the flavors of the region. New dishes are introduced to the restaurant’s menu every three weeks and the tasting set is changed every two months. Guests can watch and enjoy the art of cooking as the restaurant has an open kitchen. The team with inspiring stories will reveal the stories about the origin of each dish and its ingredients. Max Cekot Kitchen can be proud of its outdoor garden, from which fresh herbs, flowers and watercress arrive on the guests’ table from spring to autumn. Love for cooking lives in this restaurant and you can feel it in every masterpiece of the restaurant.
