On hot summer days, you don’t have to plan for long where to get away from the Riga steam – the simplest answer is the Latvian sea resort city, Jurmala. With kilometers of beaches surrounded by white sand dunes, where you can often see the blue flag waving proudly, walking paths rich in the aromatic oils of pine forests, with amber beads made by local seasiders in a local market stall… Jurmala will satisfy even the most demanding guest!

What to do near Jurmala?
You can get to know the bog, its peculiar but very charming flora and its inhabitants on the large Ķemeri moor trail. The great Ķemeri moor trail offers a fabulous walk along wooden boardwalks. If you have walked the trail of the Great Ķemeri moor, then we recommend you to go to the Sulfur Ponds and inhale its unusual, but said to be healing smell.
