28. March 2024 Events in surroundings

Would you believe it if we said that we follow the world of dog shows / pet shows? And that each of our employees at Green Garden Apartments has his favorite breed…

This is exactly the reason why our apartments are friendly to dogs and their owners. Therefore we have summarized the calendar of dog shows dog exhibitions in and around Riga for 2024.

The first dog show that we will mention is the “RETO” kennel club show on 18.05.2024 and 19.05.2024, in the “RĀMAVA” exhibition complex, Izstāžu street11, Valdlauči, Ķekava parish, Ķekava district. This will be a national (CAC) dog show of all breeds. It takes 25 minutes to get to the exhibition from our Family Garden Apartments with Free Parking & Playground, Atvaru street 21, a distance of 15 km, from Green Garden & Parking Apartments, Altonavas street 26, it will take 15 minutes, a distance of 8 km.

As the second one, we will definitely mention – the International Exhibition, LKF, (Crufts qualification) and the International Exhibition, LKF, ”Latvia’s Winner”, 08.06.2024 and 09.06.2024, in the Ķīpsala Exhibition Center, Riga, Ķipsalas street 8. From our apartments Green Garden & Parking Apartments, it takes 12 minutes to get to the exhibition, 4.5 km.

As the third and last exhibition of 2024 near Riga, we will mention the national exhibition of the Ogre Kennel Club, “Ogre winner” and “Ogre summer” 13.07.2024 and 14.07.2024, recreation area of the Daugava Museum, Dolesmuiža, Salaspils countryside. It takes 13 minutes, 9.7 km, to get to the exhibition from our Family Garden Apartments with Free Parking & Playground.

In each of these exhibitions, 10 dog breed groups will go into the ring to show off themselves. Starting with the small but intelligent Brussels Griffon and ending with the large and graceful Great Dane.

All three of these shows are well-known shows in the dog show world. Dogs and their owners come from all over Latvia, as well as from near and far neighboring countries, to add to the already existing range of titles and awards, as well as to fight for the main title – Best in Show.

If you have ever visited a dog show, you will have noticed that all its participants are  prepared and ready to show their  characteristics and best side. However, nothing will beat the excitement and enthusiasm with which the stars of the show – the dogs – enter the ring.
