We have gathered some of the closest and some of the biggest free playgrounds in Riga. These are well known public playgrounds in Riga for families with kids. Many adventures are ahead for children and youngsters who enjoy different activities outside.
Lucavsala leisure park – Lucavsala, Zemgales priekšpilsēta – a lot of slides and attractions for smaller kids. Wonderful river views around, as well as city views.This park has its own beach and picnic possibilities if anyone gets hungry. Many paths to walk around. Approx. 15 min drive with car from our apartments Green Garden & Parking Apartments.
Arkadijas park – Local park in Tornakalns, famous with its little canal, small waterfall, crossing bridges and many hungry ducks. Nice playground for smaller kids. In spring and summer time one will enjoy many flowers well taken care of by Riga gardeners. Approx. 10 min walk or 2 min drive from our apartments Green Garden & Parking Apartments.
Maras pond – wonderful area for spending time at, it has an artificially made huge pond with walking / running paths around it, kids playground with swings. This park is one of the places where you can enjoy swans and ducklings playing chase in the water. Approx. 7 min walk till playground or 2 min drive by car from our apartments Green Garden & Parking Apartments.
Victory park – Zemgale Suburb, Riga, LV-1048 (just google Uzvaras parks) – park is still developing, but already has many paths for walking with your stroller. In winter it has cross country skiing possibilities (ski rental on spot) ,in summertime it turns into rollerskating path.
This park is the largest green area in Riga and it has much to offer for any age starting from babies who will enjoy stroller ride through beautiful blooming sakuras in springtime, toddlers who can enjoy playground and available activities there and last but not least teenagers who can use trampolines, skating or bicycle riding possibilities in new made skatepark.

Centre Sports quarter – Str. Krišjāņa Barona 116A, Rīga, LV-1012 – a lot of activities for youngsters and bigger kids. We can definitely say that it will be a whole day experience. Since this is the largest available attraction playground in Riga. Not only kids will have multiple playground options, but swings, trampolines and even skatepark. There is an athletics park as well, where a fun game of streetball can be played. Just about when everybody gets hungry you can enjoy a meal nearby and have ice cream as dessert.Approx. 20 min by car from our apartments Green Garden & Parking Apartments.
